Language & Cultural Immersion
Many people
believe the best way for a person to learn
a foreign language or culture is to live in that country for a period
of time
and immerse himself/herself in the daily lives of local people. ELP's Language
& Cultural Immersion Program is designed to give just that
opportunity to
K-12 students (and their parents) , college students, teachers and
other
professionals, so they can immerse in a fun and enjoyable
foreign
environment and learn the target language and culture in a real life
context.
Participants
of this four-to-twelve-week program (could
be longer depending on individuals) will be tutored and hosted by local
professionals such as schoolteachers, college professors, or
professionals in
other fields. They will also travel around the nation and stay with
local
families in different cities to get a deeper understanding of the country and
its people.
